The Kullu valley follows the Beas river from Kullu town up to Manali, about 40 km. Kullu has old temples, shawl weaving and riverside stays, and Manali has snow views, cafes and adventure activities, so most visitors combine the two.

Day-wise itinerary
7 nights 8 days: Shimla (2N) + Kullu (1N) + Manali (4N). Tap a day to open it.
Day 1 Overnight Volvo and arrival in Shimla
Board the overnight AC Volvo from Delhi the evening before (the night in the bus is not counted as a hotel night). Our representative meets you in Shimla in the morning and takes you to the hotel. After rest, evening walk on Mall Road, Scandal Point, The Ridge and Christ Church.
Day 2 Kufri and Fagu sightseeing
Drive to Kufri (about 16 km) for the Himalayan Nature Park, viewpoints and optional horse riding. Stop at Fagu for valley views, then return to Shimla for Lakkar Bazaar and Lower Bazaar shopping.
Day 3 Shimla to Kullu
Drive via Mandi and Pandoh Dam, about 6 hours. Optional river rafting near Kullu in season. Overnight in Kullu.
Day 4 Kullu to Manali via Naggar
Visit Naggar Castle and the Roerich Art Gallery, then continue to Manali (about 40 km). Evening at Mall Road.
Day 5 Manali local sightseeing
Visit Hadimba Devi Temple in its cedar forest, Manu Temple in Old Manali, the Vashisht hot springs and temple, the Tibetan monastery and Van Vihar park. Evening free on Mall Road for shopping and street food.
Day 6 Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel
Drive to Solang Valley (about 14 km) for green meadow views and optional paragliding, zorbing, ATV rides and the ropeway. Continue through the Atal Tunnel (about 9 km long) to the Lahaul side if time allows, and return to Manali by evening.
Day 7 Lahaul valley and Rohtang Pass (when open)
Cross the Atal Tunnel into the Lahaul valley for Sissu and its waterfall. Rohtang Pass is open only in season, needs a permit and has a limited vehicle quota, so we plan it only when it is open and the weather is clear.
Day 8 Departure by Volvo
Breakfast and check-out. Free time, then an evening drop at your Volvo boarding point for the overnight journey to Delhi, reaching the next morning.

Delhi to the hills by Volvo: what to know
- Overnight AC Volvo buses leave Delhi in the evening (commonly from ISBT Kashmiri Gate) and reach the Kullu valley the next morning; check the operator for the exact drop point.
- Seats are usually semi-sleeper or sleeper; book early for April to June, the Dussehra week and the year-end.
- The night in the bus is not counted as a hotel night, so you can start sightseeing after you freshen up.
- Volvo tickets are extra: roughly Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 one way, depending on operator and date. We can help you book.
- Local sightseeing is by private car as per the itinerary.

- Carry woollens even in summer, because evenings in the hills are cool
- Carry a valid photo ID for every traveller, and some cash for small shops and ATMs that may run short on busy days
- Mountain roads wind a lot, so carry motion-sickness tablets if anyone needs them
- Keep one spare day in your plan, because landslides or snow can delay roads
