Travel tips for Kullu Manali
- Carry woollens even in summer, because evenings in the hills are cool
- Carry a valid photo ID for every traveller, and some cash for small shops and ATMs that may run short on busy days
- Mountain roads wind a lot, so carry motion-sickness tablets if anyone needs them
- Keep one spare day in your plan, because landslides or snow can delay roads
- Book Volvo, train and flight tickets early for April to June, the Kullu Dussehra week in October and the year-end
